With the end of 2012 we wrapped up a fun year of writing, recording and a lot of fun shows with some great bands. We’re currently up for a couple of awards for some different indie music organizations. So if you’re stopping by here, swing on over to the deli for emerging artist of the year –> http://philadelphia.thedelimagazine.com/snacks
Or check out the Tri State Indie Music awards –> http://www.tristateindie.com/tsi-music-awards-2/vote/
Also, we made a music video.

Just got my svt back from getting its beautiful power tubes replaced. In addition a buddy is letting me use his vintage 4×10 ampeg bass cab. It sounds glorious.
This year has been pretty epic for TVV. We’ve made an album we’re proud of, played lots of shows, and juggled craziness at home. All in all, we’re pretty thankful for this year and all of the support we’ve felt from everyone for Double Cure. We are celebrating with two more Philly shows before the New Year! Check out our Tour page for details and come celebrate with us.
I mean, seriously… don’t you miss this face???

The Sky Drops (Wilmington, Delaware), Turning Violet Violet (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), and The Young Rapids (Washington, D.C.)

So, Washington, where were you last Sunday night?
I know, it was raining, and you would have surely melted had you gone out, right? Wrong. You were lazy and missed out on a great show by one of our fair city’s best local bands.
Reblogged from Do Less, Be More:
Last night I had the pleasure of seeing Philly-based Turning Violet Violet perform at Kung Fu Necktie. Think Arcade Fire with less of a stick up their ass(es?).
My evening began in West Philly, with my first-ever Dollar Stroll up Baltimore Ave. I got to enjoy delicious Nigerian, Indian, and Ethiopian dishes for dinner - for a grand total of $3!
Our friends at Bands in the Backyard released this video of our friends Gemini Wolf. Mike and Megan go way back with TVV. First they were neighbors with Brandon and Sarah, and then they produced Pink Sky and Blue Beside Me for us. Enjoy…
